The total cost to raise, train, place, and provide lifetime support for each CPL dog is estimated to be more than $29,000 per dog. The organization utilizes a sliding scale based on income to determine the requested donation for each recipient, ranging from $1,000 – $3,000. No one is denied a canine partner because of their inability to donate this suggested amount.

Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc.
http://www.pawoundedwarriors.org/
Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. is a Pennsylvania Non-Profit Corporation that has 501(c)(3) charitable status from the Internal Revenue Service. We offer Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, their families, or Pennsylvania veterans with medical emergencies in their families financial assistance. We do not pay credit card bills, car payments, or direct payments to wounded warriors except in the most unusual circumstances. We do help wounded warriors with home repairs, utility payments, short term rent or mortgage payments, medical bills and medical equipment not covered under current government programs and educational programs to prepare for college under the GI Bill.
While our primary focus is on Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, we also visit military hospitals and outpatient facilities to thank all wounded warriors for their service. While informing them about our programs, we also use a small portion of our budget to distribute gifts like Pennsylvania foods, Pennsylvania based professional sport team caps and pajamas, iTune Cards, homemade blankets, letters from grade-school students, and our brochures to them. Every small gift has a sticker with our web site on it and the request that if they know a Pennsylvania wounded warrior, to have them contact us. All that we do is at no cost or expense to the veteran. Everyone in our organization is an unpaid volunteer.
At some of our nation’s military and VA hospitals, we also offer them and their families a day or a weekend away from the hospital; a day of recreation which they will enjoy. We offer them an opportunity to go visit an amusement park or visit Pennsylvania’s great outdoors. We are a statewide organization supported by many local civic, professional, business and veterans groups.
Pets for Vets
http://pets-for-vets.com/
At Pets for Vets, we believe our country owes military veterans a debt of gratitude. Our soldiers have been brave but many of them have returned with physical and emotional injuries that have made it difficult to transition back to civilian life. Some estimates state that as many as 20% of returning military veterans suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).The Pets for Vets program is dedicated to supporting veterans and providing a second chance for shelter pets by rescuing, training and pairing them with America’s veterans who could benefit from a companion animal. The Pets… 3 to 4 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year. These animals can make excellent companion animals but never have that chance. Our dedicated animal trainers will evaluate and rescue the shelter animals and provide additional training to ensure that they are able to assimilate into a home, which is quite different from a shelter environment. The Vets… Sadly, there are alarming statistics of suicide, family abuse and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder facing veterans returning to civilian life after military duty. This can cause a downward spiral of apathy, unemployment, broken relationships, addiction and depression. It is our belief that companion animals can be the life saving therapy or friend that many returning service men and women need.
